Wanted Killer Of Rivers DPO 2Baba Has Over 40 Guns, Arrested Iceland Cult Member Reveals

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 27TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Police have arrested one of the suspected cultists involved in the killing of Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Bako Angbashim, in Ahoada-East of Rivers State.

In a video on social media, the suspect, whose name was not mentioned, had his two hands tied behind his back with a tyre placed on him.

The suspect, who was being interrogated, is the latest to be arrested over the gruesome murder of Angbashim on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Odumude Forest following an ambush by a suspected Iceland cult group.

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command had earlier arrested six suspects in connection with the murder.

Also, the Rivers State Police Command declared one Gift David Okpara, also known as 2Baba, wanted for the murder of the DPO.

Meanwhile, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara promised a N100m reward for anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of 2Baba.

In the four minutes 13 seconds video, when asked where the body of the DPO was taken to after he was killed, the suspect denied taking part in the killing.

“I will not lie to you sir when they killed DPO I was not among, I was across the water when they brought the DPO I swear with Almighty God that created me.

“When they brought his body I couldn’t even look at it I had to hide even I can take you to the place that they brought him.”

When asked the number of guns 2Baba has and who are those that supply him, he said: “I swear to you 2Baba has a lot and I think he has up to 40 and since I have been there, the person that supply him guns they only communicate on phone. Anytime he need guns he will call the person and send money to the person.

“When he send the money through an account he will now inform us that the guns have been delivered and he will go and collect them.”
