Unknown Gunmen Kill Senator Abbo’s Uncle, Abduct Nursing Step-mother
LAGOS JULY 14TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Unknown gunmen were reported to have killed Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo’s uncle and kidnapped his nursing stepmother Rifikatu Ishaku, in Adamawa.The unfortunate incident occurred Saturday July 13.
In reference to an eyewitness, the gunmen stormed Abbo’s family house located in Muchalla ward of Mubi north local government area of the state on Saturday and while kidnapping Rifikatu, they killed the senator’s uncle who allegedly raised an alarm.
The witness also added that, the gunmen, on arriving the area, went straight to Abbo’s family house and abducted his stepmother, and that as they made away with the victim, Abbo’s uncle came out of his room and raised an alarm on sighting the gunmen.
“The gunmen opened fire on him (the uncle), leading to his death, and they went away with the victim unchallenged.”
According to report, the attack was said to have taken place around 1am on Saturday and the attackers kidnapped his nursing stepmother, Madam Rifkatu Ishaku, who was delivered of a baby just over a week ago.
DSP Sulaiman Yshaya Nguroje, Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident, said the police had deployed officers and men to track down the killer abductors.
He said, “Our men from the IG rapid response team, in conjunction with men from anti-kidnapping unit, as well as men from homicide unit have been deployed in order to rescue and arrest the suspects.”
