U-20 FIFA WC: CAF Reacts After Nigeria Beats Argentina 2-0
LAGOS JUNE 1ST (NEWSRANGERS)-The African football governing body known as CAF has reacted after the Flying Eagles of Nigeria recorded an astonishing two nil victory in the round of 16 ties of the current U-20 FIFA World Cup tournament against host nation.
Nigeria yesterday were impressive in their game against Argentina at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario as they secured the crucial win in the thrilling encounter, which as such got them advanced to the next round of the competition.
The Ladan Bosso led team in the game were very resilient and as such put up a solid performance which was a good omen going forward in the competition, as they were able to put behind their last disappointing result against Brazil in their last Group D game.
The first half of the game was such a balanced one with nothing making the difference between the two sides going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.
Nigeria in the second half were able to dominate the larger part of the game thereby scored two goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Sarki in the 61st and 91st minute respectively, to end the game two goals to nil at full time.
After the game, CAF reacted to this fantastic win with a post via their official Twitter handle with the caption showing that Nigeria have knocked out the host nation, Argentina thereby booked a spot in the quarter finals which made it an African party in South America.
Nigeria with the result of the night will then be optimistic to maintain the tempo in their next game when they faced either of South Korea or Ecuador.
