Suicide: Body Of Lady Who Jumped Into Lagos Lagoon Still Missing – LASEMA

LAGOS NOVEMBER 13TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has given a situation report, regarding the female officer of the Department of State Service (DSS), Adetutu Adedokun, who jumped into Lagos Lagoon.

The young lady said to be in her late 30s reportedly jumped into the Lagos Lagoon within the Third Mainland Bridge corridor.

The agency explained that the lady alighted from a cab and jumped into the lagoon.

On further investigation, the driver of the cab alleged that she was in a heated argument with her fiance when she was in his vehicle.

However,  in a statement shared on Facebook, LASEMA disclosed they are temporarily suspending the search and rescue operation of Adetutu.

According to the agency, the victim could not be found due to the high tide of water, hence the need to suspend the search operation till the body resurfaces.

The statement reads: “Situation Report regarding a suicide attempt at the 3rd Mainland Bridge by UNILAG Waterfront.

“Consequent upon the arrival of the LASEMA Response Team at the incident scene, on Thursday, 10th November 2022, investigation revealed that a lady in her late thirties (30s) plunged into the Lagos Lagoon.
