Plane Makes Emergency Landing As Passenger Commits Suicide In Rest Room
LAGOS JULY 26TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Marrakesh was forced to make an emergency landing in Algeria after a passenger committed suicide in the restroom.
The Boeing 737-Max 8, operated by Flight TK 619, departed Istanbul Airport at 12:40 and was scheduled to arrive in Marrakesh at 16:45. However, the flight was diverted to Algeria after the crew discovered a passenger who had died by suicide in the restroom.
The passenger’s identity has not been released. The flight crew and a doctor who was on board provided immediate medical attention, but the passenger could not be saved.
The Algerian authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Turkish Airlines has expressed its condolences to the passenger’s family and friends and said that it is committed to dealing with such incidents quickly and responsibly.
