OPM Pastor Suspends Marriage Plans For Autistic Daughter Wedding As Over 1,000 Suitors Apply

The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has announced the suspension of the marriage plans for his 21-year-old adopted autistic daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor.

Disclosing this in a Facebook post on Thursday, the pastor said the suspension followed an overwhelming number of over 1,000 applications from prospective suitors.

He noted that the process had been halted pending further instructions.

“Chiemeka Chibuzor’s wedding is hereby suspended,” the cleric wrote.

“More than a  thousand applications. No more wedding, pending further directive from me, HRM King, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere.”

The pastor had earlier on Tuesday offered a package of financial incentives and welfare guarantees to any man who agreed to marry her.

Chinyere also listed conditions for prospective suitors, stating that the man must be young and “physically and mentally fit in all forms.”

He further outlined benefits, which included lifetime financial support, free housing for life, a jointly built property in both spouses’ names, and regular unannounced visits by OPM staff to monitor the woman’s welfare.

PUNCH reports that his recent call for suitors follows a similar and widely publicised arrangement by the cleric in which he organised the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man, known as Aboy, to an older woman in a ceremony held on March 29.
