Nigeria Churches Witness Low Turnout For Palm Sunday Service

LAGOS APRIL 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Many churches witnessed a low to zero turnouts of worshippers for the Palm Sunday service as they comply with social distancing regulations.

There must be at least a distance of 2 metres between persons in a gathering to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Whilst some churches held online service, some were closely monitored by law enforcement agencies.

At St. Peter Catholic Church Nkwelle-Awka, in Anambra, worshipers attended the 6AM service maintaining social distance, while Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor of Awka Diocese conducted the Palm Sunday service live on TV and radio stations.
