Gas Cylinder Blast Rocks Nigerian Journalist’s Home, Injures Two, Leaves Newborn In Coma
LAGOS OCTOBER 1ST (NEWSRANGERS)-A suspected gas explosion has occurred at the residence of a Nigerian journalist, Abdulkareem Haruna, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.
This was made known on Monday by Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counterterrorism and insurgency expert, in a post on his X handle.
Makama said that the explosion, believed to have been caused by a faulty gas cylinder, tore through the kitchen as family members were preparing for the naming ceremony of a new born child.
According to the report, two individuals present at the scene sustained serious injuries, while a newborn baby was caught in the blast and slipped into a coma due to the trauma.

“The explosion, which is believed to have been caused by a faulty gas cylinder, tore through the kitchen as family members were preparing for the naming ceremony of the new born child.
“Two individuals present at the scene sustained serious injuries.
“Also In a heartbreaking turn, a newborn baby, just days old, was caught in the blast and slipped into a coma due to the trauma.
“Let us rally around Abdulkareem Haruna and his family, hoping for the speedy recovery of the injured and pray for the newborn child,” Zagazola posted on X.
