French Rioters Break  Into VW Showroom, Drive Away New Vehicles

FRANCE RIOTERS

LAGOS JULY 3RD (NEWSRANGERS)-South Africa previously witnessed one of its worst looting incidents in July 2021.

Looters managed to get away with loads of items such as fridges, household items, furniture etc.

Malls were also looted and one of the most expensive things to have been taken was the infamous blue couch.

That looting incident cost the nation millions and some stores closed.

But that is nothing compared to the looting that is currently taking place in France.

France has been rocked by a wave of protests after 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk was shot by police near Paris on Tuesday, sparking a ban on demonstrations in some cities, travel warnings and reigniting a debate on over-policing in marginalised communities.

A video has since gone viral showing the looters raiding a VW card dealership and getting away with brand new cars.

Yes they came on feet, armed with nothing but they drove away in brand new cars as the protests are spilling out of control.

The car theft video has sparked a debate on the views of first world citizens versus third world citizens. Whenever riots, similar to what’s happening in France, occur in a third world country like South Africa, it isn’t viewed in the same way it’s being seen in France.

France is considered as an economic powerhouse and it has one of the most vibrant economies in the world.

For such looting to happen in a country such as France, many analysts and commentators need to relook at how they label South Africa for killing during protests.

One social media enthusiast even did an Oprah Winfrey commentary saying a VW for you, a VW for everyone.
