Chinese Club Offers Ighalo £400,000-A-Week To Reject Manchester United Transfer
LAGOS MARCH 27TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Odion Ighalo has been offered a stunning £400,000-a-week deal to reject a transfer to Manchester United and instead stay at parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
The boyhood United fan has been on loan at Old Trafford since the January transfer window and his impressive performances had convinced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make his stay permanent.
A £15million deal was expected to be concluded with minimum fuss, particularly with Shanghai Shenhua ready to re-sign Ighalo’s compatriot Obafemi Martins to strengthen their forward line. But the Chinese Super League outfit has now offered Ighalo a ludicrous sum of money to stay, according to Sky Sports.
A £400,000-a-week, two-year deal has been placed on the table for the former Watford striker, in a bid to convince him to reject a move to Manchester.
Ighalo has scored four goals and provided one assist in his eight appearances for the Red Devils to date.
