Reps Take Probe Of NPA Unremitted Funds To London
LAGOS AUGUST 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts has taken its investigation into the financial records of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) to the London office of the authority.
The Public Accounts Committee is investigating non-remittances of accruing revenue to the Federation Account by the NPA as well as other queries from the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation (OAuGF).
While in London, members of the committee will also investigate activities of the Nigerian High Commission, as contained in the audit queries from the AuGF.
The Nation learnt that members of the committee, led by its chairman, Wole Oke, and his deputy, Abdullahi Sa’ad Abdulkadir, left the country for London in two batches between Wednesday, August 17 and Thursday, August 18.
While in London, members of the committee are expected to visit some property belonging to the NPA as well as probe other dealings by the authority. Nation
