LAGOS MAY 11TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The General Overseer Of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has recounted how a nursing mother dumped her new born baby in front of his gate and attempted tp run away was caught.
The cleric disclosed the incident in a social media post, explaining that the woman almost escaped after allegedly dumping her baby before she was chased and caught by security operatives.
“Almost escaped after dumping her baby, but was chased by my private security men and she was caught,” he stated.
According to the pastor, he initially planned to hand the woman over to the police but later changed his mind after listening to her story..
He claimed the woman told him that the man responsible for her pregnancy abandoned her after she became pregnant.
The pastor further revealed that he contacted the man after obtaining his phone number.
“I collected the man’s number and called him and I identified myself as OPM. He was excited. But as soon as I asked him if he knew the lady, he immediately switched off his phone on my ear,” he said.
Following the interaction, the cleric said he decided against involving the police and instead chose to support the woman financially so she could care for her child.
“I wanted to hand her over to the police, but because of the actions of the wicked man, I had to give the woman money to start a small business so she can take care of her baby,” he added.
The story has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users commending the pastor’s compassionate approach, while others argued that child abandonment remains a serious issue that should still involve proper legal and welfare authorities.
