Police Declare Manhunt For Killer Of CitiBank Executive In Her London Home
LAGOS JANUARY 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-A woman who was found beaten to death in her flat has been named as a top executive at the major financial institution Citibank.
Marianne Kilonzi, 43, who was vice president of trade and working capital sales, was found dead in her home in Woolwich, south-east London, on Friday evening.
Detectives believe Ms Kilonzi knew her attacker and they are trying to find “a named individual”, said the Met Police’s Det Ch Insp Suzanne Soren.
The force, which has launched a murder inquiry, said officers were called to Ms Kilonzi’s flat following a report of concerns for her welfare. Blunt-force trauma and a head injury were given as the cause of death at a post-mortem examination.
Det Ch Insp Soren said: “We believe the suspect was known to Marianne and there is no wider risk to the public.
“This is a tragic crime and our thoughts at this incredibly difficult time are with Marianne’s loved ones and colleagues.”
A Citibank spokesperson told the Press Association: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague.
“Our thoughts are with Marianne’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
