Wilder Vows To Give Tyson Fury A ‘bloody Fight’ In Rematch By Aiming For Eye Cut
LAGOS OCTOBER 13TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Deontay Wilder has promised Tyson Fury a “bloody night” in their rematch as he branded his rival’s WWE antics as laughable.
The Bronze Bomber is set to defend his WBC Title against Luis Ortiz next month before doing battle with the Brit again on February 22.
Meanwhile, Gypsy King firstly had to be restrained by security after he squared-up to Braun Strowman at ringside during an appearance on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
After becoming the No.1 social media trend worldwide, Fury followed that up by appearing on Monday Night Raw to demand an apology from the Monster Among Men.
However, Strowman was in no mood to say sorry and the two began trading blows before they were eventually separated by a large number of WWE superstars – although Cesaro did feel the wrath of the British boxer’s fist as he was KOed.
Fury will now attend a press conference in Las Vegas tonight where it is expected to be confirmed he will take on Strowman at WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on October 31.
Like millions around the world, Wilder watched his foe’s theatrics in the wrestling ring – but he was not happy about the way the 31-year-old introduced himself as the world heavyweight champion.
Wilder told the Independent: “I saw him in the WWE. I thought it was hilarious and I liked how the other wrestler told him he was going to be left on his back looking up at the lights just like Deontay Wilder did him.
“It’s exciting times in the heavyweight division and you can tell the WWE understand, they understand what’s going on. But it was laughable that Tyson Fury described himself as the heavyweight champion of the world, they need to cut that bull**** out.
“Tyson, you are not the heavyweight champion of the world, you are just in the top 10.”
The American continued: “He talks about this lineal stuff but that don’t mean nothing. I ain’t ever seen a 12-round fight with no title, no belt. You say you’re the champ but it’s an invisible belt, we can’t see nothing.
“But the heavyweight division is so amazing right now, so exciting and I’m so happy to put my little percentage in and make it so great.
“I remember the time when it was in a dark tunnel, there was nothing exciting going on, it was kinda boring. Now it’s just amazing and I’m happy to be part of that.”
Fury’s is still recovering after needing over 40 stitches to patch up two cuts he suffered during his victory over Otto Wallin last month.
And Wilder has vowed to make the Gypsy King bleed again in February.
He added: “I will absolutely be using that cut as a target, and I am definitely going to open it up again. I will make sure I open that one up and I’ll make sure I open a new one up too.
“It’s going to be a bloody night for him and all I can say to him is ‘buddy rest up’, you’re gonna need it, it’s going to be a long and painful night.”
