Unknown Gunmen Kill Ebonyi Deputy Speaker’s Aide Few Days To Wedding

LAGOS NOVEMBER 2ND (NEWSRANGERS)-Unknown gunmen have shot dead the legislative assistant to the Ebonyi state House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Obasi Kingsley.

 According to reports, Obasi Kingsley was shot dead by the men who trailed him while he was on his way home on Wednesday, November 11.

 The deceased was said to be preparing for his wedding when he was killed by the assailants. His killers allegedly made away with his bag containing money, his wedding invitation cards, and other valuables.

 Confirming the incident to newsmen, a family member said it was a case of a robbery gone bad.

“Yes, he was the one .I don’t think it was politically motivated. I think it was a case of robbery gone bad. As the robbers were about to move, he was said to be shouting ‘it is armed robbers oo .It is armed robbers ooo’, then they shot him”the family source who spoke on condition of anonymity said

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Loveth Odah, said the investigation has since commenced into the incident.
