Trailer Crushes ‘Scores’ Of WAEC Students To Death Along Lagos-Badagry Expressway

A hit-and-run truck driver, on Friday, reportedly lost control and rammed into a bus carrying students who had just finished their WAEC examination, killing many and several commuters and motorists at the busy Agbara Bus stop along the Lagos Badagry expressway.

Report from BigPen  revealed  that the tragic incident occurred around Agbara and neighbouring communities of Magbon and Oko Afor along the Lagos Badagry expressway when the trailer, carrying goats, went berserk and crushed the bus, thereby  killing several students and injuring many others.

Witnesses told newsmen that the students had just finished their last paper today, Friday 7, June and had charter the bus to convey them to a place where they would unwind and thank God for a successful exams.

“But sadly, the plan was cut short as the trailer driver on top speed ran onto the vehicle and buses in Agbara bus-top.

“I saw about four persons being pulled out of the vehicle dead while others were still trapped in the wreckage of the bus.”, one witness said.

The driver, who attempted to flee, continued his destructive path, hitting several vehicles and pedestrians, including other students waiting at a bus stop.

“The truck driver in an attempt to evade arrest continued, knocking several vehicles off its path.

“At Magbon bus stop about 2 kilometres after Agbara, the rampaging truck ran over students waiting to enter bus and crushed yet to be ascertained number of pupils.

“Not done with its evil plot, the reckless driver continued to Okoafor Bustop, where it crushes several cars and a fully loaded 18 seater madder bus,”  the eye witness disclosed.

He was eventually stopped by customs officers and okada riders who were on his pursuit.

“He would have continued with his evil mission but for the intervention of men of Nigeria customs boarder drill at Elijah bus stop who suspected the drivers strange attitude and stopped him before okada riders in hot pursuit caught him”, the source added.
