Police Arrest School Gardner For Beating SS3 Student To Death


LAGOS MAY 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a gardner for allegedly beating an SS3 student of Jubril Martins Memorial Grammar School, Iponri, Lagos state to death.
Lagos State Police public relations officer ( PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana in a statement said, ” The Iponri Police Station received a complaint from Jubril Martins Memorial Grammar School Iponri that on May 15, at about 4.40pm, Femi Aderonmu, a gardener with the School engaged 16 years- old – Adagun Rafiu, an SSS 3 student in a fight along Oke-Olu road Iponri and in the process the student fell down and became unconscious and was rushed to Smith Medical Hospital where he later died.
” witnesses accounts show that the deceased person was returning home with his friends after writing the West African Examination Council ( WAEC ) and the suspect blocked him on the way and pulled him down, on the accusation that the deceased Student has insulted him before.
Homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department ( SCIID ) Yaba, have visited the Crime scene. The body of the student has deposited at the mortuary for autopsy. The suspect has been arrested and will soon be charged to Court for murder “.
