LAGOS JUNE 15TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Nigerian international, Anthony Nwakaeme, who plays for Trabzonspor in Turkey, scored the first goal in the Turkish League, which restarted Friday with his team’s game against Goztepe.

The Turkish Super Lig was suspended like other leagues across the world.

Nwakaeme, who gave his side a deserving lead in the 16th minutes of the encounter with a fine finish, saw his team later struggling for control after Guilherme collected two yellow cards and later sent off in the first half of the game.

Trabzonspor who are the league leaders later doubled their lead in the early minutes of the second half as Ghanaian International, Caleb Ekuban, netted a second.

However, Goztepe player, Alpaslan Ozturk, later reduced the goal margin but it was an evening for Trabzonspor as Abdülkadir Ömür wrapped up the game after he scored the third goal.

THEWILL reports that Anthony Nwakaeme has now extended his season tally of goals to 11 in 25 games in the league.
