NDLEA Uplifts Six Officers To Rank Of Asst. Commander Of Narcotics
LAGOS OTOBER 13TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Chairman/Chief Executive, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (rtd.) has approved the promotion of six officers to the rank of Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, ACGN. The officers were until their promotion Commanders of Narcotics.
A press statement signed by Jonah Achema, ACN, Principal Staff Officer, Public Affairs made available to NewsRangers said the affected officers are Anthony Nkem Ohanyere, mni, Mrs. AuduIkhareluWasilat,fsi, and Hamza Umar, mni, OON, Ahmed Suleiman Ningi, OmoladeEniolaFaboyade and Pius NuhuGamde. The promotion reflects the six-geo-political zones of the country.
Abdullah said the promotion is consistent with the approval by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
He enjoined the officers to see their promotion as a call to higher service and to continue to distinguished themselves.
According to him, “The exercise is expected to spur the benefitting commanders to put in their best in the service of the Agency and the nation. The reward for hard work is more work”, the Chairman maintained, adding that “this promotion has come as a result of outstanding performance, but it is an opportunity for you to further distinguish your selves.”
The Chairman has kept faith with his recent assurance that the promotion exercise in the Agency would come up in phases. Only recently, the Agency elevated a total of 1, 311 staff, made up 1, 291 staff within the rank and file and 20 others converted to officer cadre.
