Mutilated Female Corpse: How Keke Rider Leads Police To Arrest Abuja Pastor, Son
LAGOS JUNE 23RD (NEWSRANGERS)-A pastor and his son were on Monday afternoon arrested by the police in Kubwa in the FCT over the mutilated female corpse dumped in the area.
City & Crime had reported how the corpse, which was cut into nine parts, alongside a dead goat and a dead dog, was discovered on a dump in the area.
A source told our reporter on Tuesday that pastor and his son were arrested after a tricycle rider approached the police and told them that he conveyed the three sacks used in concealing the remains of the victim and those of the animals.
The tricycle rider reportedly told the police that the son of the pastor met him around Gbazango junction on the Kubwa Expressway and took him to a nearby church for a charter service between 9 and 10pm on Sunday.
According to the source, “The son lied to the Keke rider that the sacks were scraps and asked him to take them to the PW Bridge dumping site. The rider charged him N1,000.
“It was the following morning after the baban bola (scavengers) broke the bags in their usual search for items that they discovered the contents and alerted people. The information got to the Keke rider and he voluntarily led the police to the church.’’
Our reporter, who visited the church area, was informed by a resident that the pastor’s son in handcuffs and the pastor were seen being led out of the building by the police around 3pm on Monday into a police van.
He said the police later returned to the area on Tuesday afternoon to make further search on the building before they sealed the church premises.
ontacted, the Divisional Police Officer of Kubwa, CSP Abubakar Abdulkarim, confirmed two people were in police custody.
