Markurdi: Armed Robbers Attack Bullion Van in Broad Daylight, Cart Away Cash
LAGOS AUGUST 13TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Three heavyily armed robbers on Wednesday August 12th attacked a bullion van in Makurdi the Benue State capital.
The incident occurred around Konshisha Street in high level about 10am.
The robbers, in a sport utility vehicle (SUV) drove in front of the van and blocked it.
They then shot in the air as every one around scampered for safety. Before a reinforcement of policemen from the nearby Police Headquarters and Zone 4 would arrive, they blew open the door and carted away an undisclosed sum of money.
A police officer and the driver of the van were shot in the attack. As at penning this report, the Benue State Police Command Spokesman, Moses Yamu was yet to react to the robbery attack.
