LAGOS NOVEMBER 4TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Yusuf Ogunmefun, a commercial biker has been detained by officers from the Alagbado Police Station of the Lagos State Police Command after he stabbed Balogun Adeyemi Musa to death for failing to pay his N100 transit charge.

The victim, also known as Baba Rokiba was a well-known welder in the Lagos neighbourhood of Alagbado on AIT Road.

Musa refused to pay N100 for his transport after the okada rider dropped him off at his destination.

This lead to an altercation and during the fight, Ogunmefun killed Musa (his passenger) by stabbing him to death.

According to an eyewitness Musa offered the okada man N200, but the bike man vehemently refused the offer and insisted that Musa pay him the money directly.

However, Musa, engrossed with anger, insisted that he would not pay the N100.

Yusuf (the motorcyclist), however, allegedly shoved Musa to the ground in a fit of rage before attacking him with blows.

When onlookers attempted to subdue him, he hurried to retrieve an old bottle, broke it, and stabbed his passenger (Musa) in the neck, causing Musa to bleed severely.

Yusuf allegedly fled after discovering the damage he had done but he was stopped by bystanders, who subsequently turned him over to police officers at AIT Alagbado Police Station.

The injured Musa was then taken by good Samaritans to the adjacent G&T Hospital, where the doctor on duty attempted to suture his neck but failed due to the considerable blood loss.

Ogunmefun is being questioned by police at AIT Alagbado Police Station.
