LAGOS OCTOBER 26TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Rainbow Coalition Movement of Taraba State has called for the resignation of Governor of Taraba state Agbu Kefas sighting issue of insecurity in the state.
The Group in a statement signed Dr. Joseph E. Chiegil of Rainbow Coalition Movement Jalingo, Taraba State said if the Governor cannot provide the leadership and decisive action required to protect their people he should choose the honourable course of resigning from office.
The Group said Government exists to protect lives and property, but expressed grave concern over recurring security challenges and reported killings across parts of the state, including Mbamnga, Takum/Ussa and Binnari in Karim-Lamido LGA.
“The continued loss of innocent lives raises serious questions about the effectiveness of the government’s security response. Tarabans deserve more than assurances; they deserve safety, decisive action and accountable leadership.
“Governor Agbu Kefas has a responsibility to protect the people of Taraba State. We therefore demand urgent, concrete measures to address insecurity, protect vulnerable communities and bring perpetrators to justice.
“If the Governor cannot provide the leadership and decisive action required to protect our people, we believe the honourable course is for him to resign.
“Taraba State is not a training ground for leadership. Governance demands competence, responsibility and measurable results.
“Enough is enough ! Taraba deserves security, responsible leadership and peace.” the statement read.
