House Wife Escapes Death Over Alleged Lesbianism, Another Beaten To Coma

LAGOS NOVEMBER 18TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A house wife on November 2ND, 2017 escaped being lynched by an angry mob for alleged lesbianism at the Badore, Ajah area of Lagos State, while another was beaten to coma.
One of the women who was beaten to coma was rescued by a local vigillance group who spirited her away from the angry mob to the palace of the local chief.
The other woman who managed to escape with her children is currently hiding and her whereabout is unknown. It was alleged that the woman and her children have been warned not to come back to the vicinity as they would be burnt alive by the community.
It was gathered that the mother of two simply identified as Agatha, was allegedly caught with another married woman having sex and that drew the ire of the community.
Agatha and her partner, a business woman also known as Madam Abitoju were allegedly caught in Abitoju’s apartment by a neighbour who raised the alarm that attracted the youths.
The angry youths were alleged to have beaten up Abitoju and damaged Agatha’s car while trying to abduct her.
A community leader Muyiwa, explained that the alleged female lovers were caught in the act while Agatha escaped , Abitoju was unlucky as she was apprehended and beaten to a coma. It was gathered that Agatha’s husband who was not at home when the incident occurred has also been warned not to return to the community as he would be lynched for allegedly refusing to cooperate with the community in apprehending Agatha. However Mrs Abitoju’ s husband has since disowned her over the incident.
A police officer at the Ajah police station told NewsRangers online that though the case has not been officially reported to the police, but was being investigated having received a distress call by an unnamed source.
“We will invite the parties. We can’t just keep quiet. We will brief you at the appropriate time, but be rest assured that the women will be interrogated and if found culpable will be made to face the music according to LGBT laws.
