LAGOS AUGUST 15TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Heavy flooding triggered by torrential rainfall has forced the traditional ruler of Obosi Kingdom in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Chidubem Iweka III, out of his palace.
The flooding reportedly overwhelmed parts of the community following intense rainfall, leaving the monarch’s palace and surrounding areas badly affected. The development has once again highlighted the growing environmental challenges confronting several communities across Anambra during the rainy season.
Igwe Iweka III, who also serves as Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, is a prominent traditional leader in the state. He has previously spoken about the environmental difficulties facing Obosi and other parts of Anambra, particularly the devastating effects of flooding and erosion.
