Group Lauds Kachikwu, Baru Over Transformation, Transparency In Oil Sector
LAGOS APRIL 7TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A pro-Niger Delta group, Niger Delta Oil Communities Agenda NIDOCA, has commended the Chairman, Board of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and Group Managing Director, GMD, of NNPC, Maikanti Baru for the remarkable achievements, transformation and transparency in the country oil sector.
The group, gave the commendation yesterday in Warri, Delta State, in a press statement by its Director, Media and Publicity, Comrade Emma Akpovoka.
It said ” in the last over three and half years, a careful review and assessment of happenings in the oil sector, the duo of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and Maikanti Baru had worked collectively to attained the remarkable achievements and transformation in the country oil sector”
The group further stated ” though, the President, Muhammadu Buhari is also the substantive Petroleum Minister, however, Kachikwu and Baru have initiated and implemented policies to the satisfaction of Mr. President. Under the present administration of President Buhari, the Nigeria oil sector has witnessed tremendous reorganization, become more effective, efficient and transparent to investors”
According to the group ” It is evident that Kachikwu and Baru had maintained a quality working relationship, which was why they have been able to efficiently addressed or minimized pipeline vandalism and oil theft in the Niger Delta region. We do believe that Kachikwu and Baru are still determined to do more and consolidate on the present achievements in the Next Level administration”…
