Fuel Queue: Do Not Panic, NNPC Appeals To Nigerians
LAGOS JANUARY 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Nigeria National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) has advised Nigerians not to panic over media reports of recent queues experienced in some petrol stations in Abuja and some other parts of Nigeria.
The Corporation in a press statement signed by Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division NNPC Limited, Garba Deen Mohammed sighted by NewsRangers assured the public that the Company has sufficient PMS stock to meet the needs of Nigerians.
“The public is therefore, advised not to engage in panic buying of petrol; and to ignore all rumours that may suggest otherwise.
“In line with the existing laws of the land, NNPC Ltd. is deeply committed to ensuring energy security for the country,” the statement assured.
Recall that there were media report recently of purported fuel scarcity which had led to mounting of fuel queues in some petrol stations in Abuja and its environs, Warri in Delta State and some other parts of the country.
