LAGOS AUGUST 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)-I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of Mr Dotun Oladipo, a distinguished journalist, publisher of The Eagle Online, and former President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (formerly Online Publishers Association of Nigeria), at the age of 56.
Dotun was a courageous and committed professional who dedicated his life to journalism, public enlightenment, and the defence of truth and democratic values. Through his journalism and leadership, he made a lasting contribution to the growth of Nigeria’s online media and the strengthening of our democracy.
His death is a painful loss to his family, the journalism profession, the media community, and Nigeria as a whole.
I extend my deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, friends, and the entire Nigerian media community. May God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant Dotun Oladipo eternal rest. -PO
