Emeka Obasi Praises God For Saving Him From Strange Illness
LAGOS AUGUST 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The book is titled ‘Saved for His Praise.’ The book launch marked the celebration of Mr. Obasi who is a survivor of a strange illness that almost claimed his life.
Obasi who is the publisher of Business Hallmark and a former Commissioner for Information in Abia State almost lost his life to an unknown illness over which he was bedridden for three weeks.
‘Saved for His Praise’ is a personal testimony of how God still works wonders for those who believe and hold on to His name.
According to the author, when all hope was almost lost, God restored his health and put him back on his feet.
He said he was healed by God through Pastor E.A Adeboye, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya and indeed the entire body of Christ in Nigeria.
“My case is a demonstration that the Lord is good all the time. When I started writing the book, my wife told me not to focus on vindication because it is only God that vindicates.
“The only reason I can be here is because I am favoured by God,” he said.
A few days ago, he wrote an open letter to Dr. Uma Ukpai, the General Overseer of Uman Ukpai Evangelistic Ministries.
He expressed sadness about the rise of fake pastors whose revelations are causing havoc in many families.
He wrote: “Since 2014, I have been immersed in a titanic battle to save my life and it is only by the grace of God that I am alive today and wring this letter to you.
“Recently, a video trended on social media showing some boys beating and stripping their mother stark naked, because a pastor gave them a revelation that their mother was using their luck and was responsible for their lack of success.
“Almost every other person I have spoken to has either had a similar experience or knows of someone who has. And in all circumstances, it is often a matter of a successful member of the family being picked out as an occultist and the person using the luck of other less successful members of the family.”
The forward of the book was written by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, a former Governor of Ondo State.
He wrote: “Saved for His Praise is a very touching book. It is a profound testimony of God’s abiding mercy. For everyone seeking His mercy, and even for all who have been touched by it, it is deeply inspirational and a worthwhile read.”
Mimiko also praised the author’s wife, Dr. Elizabeth Mankini Obasi, a pastor of the Christ Living Spring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) for standing by the author in his darkest hour.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance were a former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi; Prince Bisi Olatilo; Alhaji Abdulazeez Chibuzo Ude; Mrs. Adetokunbo Dosumu Awolowo; chairman of the occasion, Chief Ernest Obi; Chairman of Seplat, Dr, ABC Orjiako was the chief launcher of the book.
