LAGOS APRIL 1ST (NEWSRANGERS)-The Cross River State Governor , Senator Ben Ayade has today, March 31st 2021 fired one of his media aides, Ursula Agbor (Special Assistant Media)Over issues surrounding misconduct and other unethical practices.

The announcement which was made by the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Christian Ita noted that, the services of miss Ursula Agbor is no longer needed for the time being as she was directed to return all Government properties in her possession to the Chief press secretary.

The suspended media aide who was appointed in late 2020 was prior to now, a volunteer staff with the state radio and Telivision network ( Cross River State Broadcasting Cooperation) where she anchored the good morning Cross River breakfast show.

Although the reason for her suspension wasn’t stated in the memo sent to the public, but an insider who preferred to remain unannounced disclosed that, miss Agbor who comes from the same Senatorial zone with the Governor, had engaged in a verbal fight with some of her colleagues in the government house over issues of who gives and receives instructions.

According to our reliable source, miss Agbor has aired her stance of not taking instructions from any other Appointee of Government unless it comes from the Governor, a situation which seem strange with public office holders.

“It’s nothing serious, Ursula loves doing her things her way, some weeks ago she ran into a fight with some appointees of government, she accused them of hanging against her to outshine her.

Critically, she’s not Befitting of any public position, but you know how the governor comes out to compensate people who sing his praises, that was how she found herself here in government house, I want to commend the Governor for taking this step,it’s a wake up call for others to learn and know the principles of governance”.

Aside miss Ursula Agbor , another memo also leaked where the governor approved the suspension of the chairman of the state internal revenue service with immediate effect.
