Buhari Approves Additional N8.9bn Covid-19 Hazard Allowance For Health Workers
LAGOS SEPTEMBER 10TH (NEWSRANGERS)-President Muhammadu Buhari has approved an additional N8.9bn as COVID-19 hazzard allowance to all medical health workers.
The Chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha stated this at the PTF briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
Mr Mustapha said procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE’S) for hospitals and isolation centers would be given priority.
He said these would address protests and strike action of agrieved health workers in the past few weeks.
The SGF also said the Task Force had briefed the National Food Security Council on the Impact of COVID-19 on Agriculture and the food value chain, in which the Council assured that the Government has re-calibrated it’s strategy for mitigating the impact.
President Muhammadu Bihari had met with the National Food Security Council, on Thursday, at the State House.
