LAGOS JANUARY 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Between the period shared by Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu, Nigerians have never seen the sort of suffering currently existing in the country, an experience nobody ever thought would be possible, Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), lamented on Wednesday, while reacting to the parlous state of affairs in the country.

Arguing that the nation thought they had seen the worst under Buhari, citizens were now experiencing a far worse situation since Tinubu took over, citing the current wave of killings across the country, regretting that Tinubu was yet to take decisive actions capable of ending the carnage.

Reacting specifically to the recent wave of attacks in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where gunmen have been running riot against citizens and kidnapping them at will without any tangible evidence of checkmating them, the former governor of Anambra State in a statement, on Wednesday, described the recent killings of two abducted young girls in Abuja as depressing, adding that it was time for the leaders to take all forms of serious measures to tackle the situation.

His words: “As terror attacks, banditry, kidnappings and violence continue to rage through the country, it is more concerning now with the surge of violence spreading through the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The recent killings of two abducted young girls in Abuja makes it more depressing and urgent. It is now time for us, the leaders, to take all forms of serious measures to tackle the situation.
