Another PDP Gov. Revolts  Against Atiku, Sets  To Join Wike’s Camp

ATIKU AND WIKE

LAGOS NOVEMBER 8TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of plotting to derail his re-election.

In a letter dated November 3, 2022, to the party’s national chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, Mohamed claimed that Atiku had threatened to “punish” him for running against him in the party’s presidential primary.

“There have been undisguised efforts to sabotage my re-election and impose on the state, a governor from another party who is willing to satisfy their selfish interests at the expense of the larger interests of the people of the state,” the letter reads in part.

“I would like to state that I am truly surprised by Atiku Abubakar’s treatment of me. He is aware that I have always regarded him as an elder and have always treated him with the utmost respect due to his status as the shining light of our North East zone and a leading nationalist and statesman.
In his honor, we built and named one of Bauchi’s most important roads after him.

“You may recall that we hosted a major rally for him in Bauchi prior to the official start of the presidential campaign.” Could all of this have been swept away simply because I took a legal step that validated his victory?

“Why would he still ‘teach me a lesson’ when trashing me in primary school is humiliating enough?”
Why would he allow political opportunists to ride on his back to exact revenge on his younger brother, whose sole concern is the upliftment of the Bauchi people?

“While Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his political cronies insist that I be punished for running against him in the presidential primary, the self-proclaimed kingmakers in Wazirin Adamawa want a pound of flesh from me because I have refused to capitulate to their unbridled sense of entitlement, which is pregnant with selfish and dictatorial tendencies.”

“It would interest you to know that when confronted with these adversarial conditions, I complained to both our presidential candidate and his running mate, as well as party elders whose names I do not want to mention here, but the treachery has escalated under the watchful eyes of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who is the groups’ leader in all intents and purposes.”

“Based on the foregoing, I would like to make the following final points: that our presidential candidate should issue a public statement disavowing renegade elements who are neck deep in the anti-party plot of undermining my re-election effort, and that members of our party should reject the devious overtures and manipulative strategies of my detractors.”

“Without complete public repudiation of those indiscretions within a reasonable time frame, coupled with explicit guarantee of sincerity of purpose and public support of my re-election by the presidential candidate, I may withdraw from the PCC and feel free to create new measures and strategies that would guarantee the election and re-election of all PDP candidates in Bauchi and myself,” he says.
