Angry Family Members lynch Man For Allegedly Killing brother’s 3 Children Left In His Care

LAGOS OCTOBER 7TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Tragedy struck in Aba, Abia State at the weekend, when a middle aged man allegedly killed his brother’s three children left in his care and was subsequently lynched by angry family members.
The incident which took place at Eze-Green Estate, Owerri-Aba, Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, drew sympathisers from far and near who wept uncontrollably for the three children murdered in cold blood.

However, effort made to get the attention of the parents of the deceased children failed, probably because of the shock of the situation, as sorrow enveloped the entire atmosphere in their home. However, a neighbor to the victim who chose anonymity told New Telegraph that the incident was very unfortunate as four lives have already been lost in a family in a space of two days.
He said: “The man killed his brother’s children who returned from school on Friday. They were three lovely innocent children, two boys and one girl.
“Their parents went for their businesses not knowing that tragedy awaits them right inside their home. The killer has been staying with them for quite a while and no one can say what happened to him.
“You know houses are fenced around here and we don’t get to see much of what goes on anywhere. But I can tell you that the man’s statement and usual abnormal noise he makes showed that he could have been mentally unstable.
“Most times you hear him saying strange things, but I never expected that it will drive him to be murderous. He used machete to butcher his brother’s children in a gruesome manner.
“His own death, however, happened on Saturday when some angry family members who couldn’t bear his actions descended on him and together with some other angry persons beat him to death. It is really a tragic moment for that family.
“The case is even more complicated here because there’s no single police station closer to people here. If there was one closer, I’m sure they would have handled the issue before another death occurred on Saturday.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Abia State, DSP Geoffrey Ogbonna, said he had not been briefed on the matter and will speak more on it when information on the matter arrived
