Alleged Cocaine Deal:Police Declare Manhunt For Abba Kyari’s Fleeing Associate, ASP Umoru

LAGOS FEBRUARY 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)- The Police and other security agencies are in hot chase for Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP John Umoru ,a member of the Intelligence Response Team who fled as the lid was uncovered on the Abba Kyari Drug Deals.

ASP Umoru populary known as”too much money” deserted his beat and took to his heels as a result of his alleged  involvement in the 25kg Cocaine International Narcotics deal at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu which was blown open by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

Consequently , the Police Service Commission ordered the immediate arrest of ASP John Umoru, while other accomplices have been detained.

The Police Service Commission had directed the Inspector General of Police, to suspend Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Sunday Ubua and Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP James Bawa from the exercise of the powers and functions of their respective Offices with effect from Monday, 14th February, 2022.
The two Police Officers were working under the suspended DCP Abba Kyari in the Intelligence Response Team of the Force Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Nigeria Police Force and were alleged to be involved in the Abba Kyari infamous drug deal.
Head, Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, Ikechukwu Ani said the IGP was further requested to inform the Commission of the arrest of ASP John Umoru whenever his arrest is effected to enable it take necessary action.
