EFCC Declares Manhunt For APC Senatorial Candidate Over Alleged $1.3m Fraud
LAGOS DECEMBER 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday declared a manhunt for the multi billion naira senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress, Kano Central, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkarim over an alleged $1,320,000 fraud
The Commission’s lawyer, Ahmed Arogha Esq told newsmen at the premises of federal High court, Kano that the Anti graft Agency is “looking for him.”
Barrister Arogha who spoke shortly after the court failed to sit over the absence of the presiding Judge declared that the Commission would “arrest him wherever he is.”
Barrister Arogha said “anytime and anywhere we see, we will arrest him”
The development followed Zaura’s bid to stop the federal high court from trying him at the Apex court suffered set back.
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has also directed the APC senatorial candidate to appear before the Federal High Court Kano to face the criminal charges preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Zaura was accused by the Commission for defrauding a Kuwaiti Citizen by obtaining the sum of $1,320,000 (One Million Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Dollars) under the pretext that he posed as Estate Agent that specialized in building in Dubai, Kuwait and other Arab countries.
