Oyo Police Declare Manhunt On Attackers Of Bullion Van As CP Allays Fear Of Residents
LAGOS FEBRUARY 11TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Commissioner of Police Oyo state, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko said the operatives of Oyo state police command has declared manhunt for the attackers of a bullion van in Ibadan, just as she allayed fear of the residents of Oyo state over the unfortunate incident.
Mrs Onadeko who made this known when she visited the scene of the crime of the bullion van at Ibadan, Oyo state confirmed the death of two Policemen during a gun shot duel between the criminals and policemen.
.She said the two killed Police men were attached to the bullion van and they were stopped by some unknown gunmen who started shooting sporadically to scare people off and later killed the two officers.
The Commissioner explained that investigation had begun to unravel the circumstances surrounding robbery attack, adding that one of the suspected armed robbers was killed while others were at large.
She explained that the Command had restrategised on how to secure the state optimally to stem down criminality.
Recall that armed robbers numbering about five reportedly attacked a bullion van transferring money within the city and killed some persons at the Idi-Ape area of Iwo Road of Ibadan in Oyo State.
