LAGOS OCTOBER 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)-– Nigeria’s Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been formally chosen as the new Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, WTO, making her the first woman to lead the agency.
THEWILL source, who confirmed the development moments ago, said a formal announcement of her appointment will be done “anytime soon.”
The source said the final vote was not close. “NOI beat her only challenger by a wide margin.” Her challenger is South Korea’s Finance Minister, Yoo Myung Hee.
