Fire Razes Balogun Market In Lagos Island
LAGOS NOVEMBER 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Fire has broken out at the popular Balogun Market on Lagos Island.
Videos shared on Twitter on Tuesday show a section of the market in flames.
According to reports, the building on fire is a shopping plaza located at 43, Martins Street, Lagos Island.
Firemen from the Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) have arrived at the scene alongside other security officers to put out the fire.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Fire Service, Adeleke Ashimi, said that another complex on Dosumu Street, about 500 meters from Martin Street, was also on fire.
The cause of both fire outbreaks is not known.
