Angry 50 Masked Sevilla Fans Ambush, Insult Super Eagles Stars Akor Adams, Ejuke

LAGOS APRIL 8TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke were caught in a frightening confrontation when around 50 masked Sevilla fans blocked the club’s training ground entrance to abuse players after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to relegation-bound Real Oviedo.

Sevilla’s dressing room crisis boiled over on Sunday evening after the club suffered a damaging 1-0 loss to Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere, a result that left them just two points above the La Liga relegation zone.

Rather than going home to process the defeat quietly, several players including Super Eagles internationals Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke returned to the training ground to find a mob waiting.

According to a report by L’Equipe, around 50 masked fans had blocked the facility’s entrance, hurling insults at the players and coaching staff before security agencies intervened to clear the scene.

Both Nigerian players escaped without physical injury, but the confrontation underlines just how hostile the environment has become at one of Spain’s most historically significant clubs. This was not an isolated incident. The same pattern of fan hostility has emerged before this season, and the threat of it escalating from verbal to physical abuse cannot be dismissed.
