LAGOS FEBRUARY 25TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has issued a stern warning to his Turkish club, Galatasaray, threatening to report them to FIFA over unpaid wages, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the Turkish journalist Dogus ( @sollcampbell) the forward, who has not received his due payments from the club, has already taken steps to address the issue through FIFA and is contemplating refusing to play in matches if the situation is not swiftly resolved.
Osimhen, known for his prolific performances on the field, expressed his frustration, stating,
“Football is not an arena for secret games; it’s a sport.” His remarks signal growing unrest over financial matters that could tarnish his relationship with the Turkish giants if left unresolved.
The Super Eagles striker’s threat adds another layer of tension to his relationship with Galatasaray, as clubs across Europe face increasing pressure to meet player obligations amidst a financially challenging climate.
With Osimhen’s potential action hanging in the balance, all eyes will be on FIFA’s involvement in resolving the matter.
This situation comes at a critical time for both Osimhen’s career and Galatasaray, with the striker having a major role in their forward line.
