Marine And Blue Economy Minister, Custom Boss, Other VIP’s To Attend CONMMEP Workshop
LAGOS DECEMBER 8TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON will be the Chief Guest of honour at the workshop to be organize by Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners- CONMMEP, while the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale, Bashir Adeniyi, MFR, is Special Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries expected at the occasion are Royal Fathers of the Day Ojora of Ijora Kingdom, HRM, Oba Abdul Fatai Aremu Aromire, Olu of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, HRM, Oba Moroof Oyekunle Atanda Amodu Tijani Oluwa and other personalities.
Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners- CONMMEP has concluded every arrangement and is ready to hold a one day workshop programme with theme; “Port Community Engagement: Building Partnerships for Sustainable Development”.
The workshop, which was initially planned to hold at Marriott Hotel Ikeja on 28th of November, 2024, has now been rescheduled to hold at Rockview Hotel and Suites, Apapa by 10 am on Tuesday, 17th of December 2024.
Statement signed by the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of CONMMEP, Mcanthony Udochukwu Onuoha made available to NewsRangers disclosed that CONMMEP, a media advocacy group committed to fair, unbiased, and balanced reportage on Nigeria’s maritime sector will at the event, provide a platform for Maritime stakeholders, Port Communities, agencies of government and corporate establishments within the maritime sector to review Port community engagement and chart a new course for development and more gainful partnerships
The statement disclosed that the workshop objectives is to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and showcase people oriented projects and services benefitting port Communities.
It added that it equally seeks to address challenges resulting from neglecting the host Communities.
“CONMMEP wants to use this medium to reassure stakeholders of its readiness and commitment to this august event, and is optimistic of its huge success. CONMMEP will be glad to welcome relevant stakeholders and all invitees to the occasion,” the statement added.
