Over 8,000 Supporters Dump NNPP For Labour Party In Kaduna
LAGOS OCTOBER 7TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Thousands of supporters on Saturday joined Tinok Andrew Nok, a senatorial aspirant in the 2023 general election, as she moved from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the Labour Party in Kaduna State.
Tinok, the younger sister of former Kaduna State Commissioner of Education, Prof. Andrew Nok, expressed her conviction that the Labour Party shares her ideology of honesty and service to the people.
She noted, “My decision to join the Labour Party is influenced by Senator Nnadi Usman, National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party,” and promised to leverage her wealth of experience to strengthen the party and contribute to its growth in Kaduna State.
Receiving Tinok into the party, Labour Party’s 2023 governorship candidate, Jonathan Asake, who represented Senator Nnadi Usman, assured that the party is undergoing transition and would harness her expertise to become a viable party in the state and the country at large.
He urged her to bring her experience to bear in repositioning the Labour Party in Kaduna State.
The event also featured the presentation of Labour Party flags ahead of the October 19 local government elections.
Tinok’s defection is seen as a significant boost to the Labour Party in Kaduna State, ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The massive crowd that graced the occasion reflected the enthusiasm and optimism surrounding Tinok’s move to the Labour Party in the state.

Earlier, the State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Mr. Yusuf Solomon Danbaki, assured the candidates in the state council’s election that the party would support them and work tirelessly for their success.
