Peter Obi On The Spot Assessment Of Kidney Hospital In Nnewi
LAGOS AUGUST 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, for the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, on Saturday, paid a courtesy visit to Premium Kidney Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State.
The visit was an on-the-spot assessment of the quality of work at the state-of-the-art hospital, which was commissioned in 2022.
During the visit which lasted for about an hour, Obi took time and went around the building, inspecting different sections of the facility while Dr Okey Chidolue, a US-trained attorney and former director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, was handy to provide answers and explanations to Obi’s curiosity.
With Dr Chidolue, was his wife and managing director of the hospital, Dr Mrs Nene Chidolue, a US-trained Anambra-born renal care specialist with over 30 years of experience who joined him to receive the special visitor.
In his brief remarks, the ex-governor of Anambra State thanked the staff and management of Premium Kidney Hospital and the entire Nnewi medical community for their enviable efforts in tackling the endemic problems of kidney failure and medical tourism in Nigeria.
Dr Chidolue expressed his delight at Obi’s visit, saying that it “means the world to the men and women at Premium Kidney Hospital, Nnewi, who make extraordinary sacrifices for an efficient and affordable kidney disease management” and “for those of us from Anambra State where he was once a governor, his exemplary leadership style is nothing new.”
