Naira Crisis: Anxious Customers Climb Gates To Gain Access Into Banking Hall
LAGOS FEBRUARY 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-A video which surfaced on Tuesday showed how male and female customers climbed gates to enter a banking hall.
Actor Adinma Somadina, who shared the video on his Instagram page, wrote, “See what this woman has to go through just to get into the bank and get money to feed her family; her own money she put in the bank.
“This is funny but it’s our reality and it’s really sad to see.”

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria has debunked a purported press release shared on the Instagram page of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
The release shared on Aisha Buhari’s page on Tuesday alleged that the old N500 and N1000 notes should remain legal tender till May 1, 2023.
The CBN debunking the news, shared another release, labelling the one on Aisha’s page as fake news.
Also, some commercial banks in Port Harcourt are accepting deposits of old Naira notes from bank customers in spite of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s denial last Friday, that it did not direct banks to collect old N500 and N1,000 notes.
