Fans React To Basketmouth’s Call For Replacement Of Naira With Cowries

LAGOS DECEMBER 29TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Popular Nigerian humour merchant, Basketmouth, has called for the return of cowries as a legal tender.

Reacting to the current exchange rate, the comic act put together a photo collage consisting of all the Nigerian currency from N5 to N1000 notes and noted the total sum is less than $5.

He wrote: “Join all these figures together and it’s still not up to $5.

“Can we just go back to using cowries already?”

Fans and followers took to the comment section to react to his post.

While most reiterated the sad reality the post exposes, others simply said despite the number of heads on the naira notes, they are still undervalued.
