APC Supporters Slam Senate President Ahmad Lawan Over New Appointment

LAGOS JUNE 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Senate president, Ahmad Lawan, has come under criticism following his appointment of Festus Adedayo as special adviser on media and publicity.
Adedayo has reportedly been a staunch critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Supporters of the party expressed their disappointment over the Senate president’s appointment which they believe is a slap on the face of those who supported his candidacy.
Some likened the new Senate president to his predecessor, Bukola Saraki whom they claimed worked against the party when he got the position.

Many are not pleased with the appointment of Adedayo.
According to some, Adedayo’s appointment is a poor precedence which will discourage people who have been defending APC-led governemnt.
According to Odukoya, the appointment is a wrong move.
Recall that Senate president, Dr Ahmad Lawan, approved the appointment of Babagana Aji as his chief of staff.
The special adviser to the Senate president on administration, Dr Betty Okoroh, in a statement on Tuesday, June 18, in Abuja, said “the appointment is with immediate effect”.
