Super Eagles Striker Brown Ideye, Dumps Chinese Club For Malaga
LAGOS JANUARY 25TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Nigerian striker Brown Ideye is now on the verge of completing a mega move to Spanish club Malaga after leaving Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.
According to the report by Telegraph, the former Ocean Boys forward will be joining Spanish club Malaga on a six months loan which will expire at the end of the ongoing Spanish La Liga season.
The report also stated that Brown Ideye traveled to Spain on Sunday from China, and he is expected to undergo his medical before the official announcement.
Ideye lost his first team spot at Tianjin Teda and was demoted to the B team of the club following the signing of Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong.
A move to Malaga will help him regain his spot in the Nigeria national team ahead of the start of preparations for the World Cup in Russia later in the year.
The 29-year-old has not been recently invited by the Super Eagles coach, but there are reports that he could get an invite for the World Cup in Russia. Nigeria will face Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in Group D at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
