Robbers Using Towing Vans To Steal Parked Vehicles On The Prowl In Lagos
LAGOS SEPTEMBER 2ND (NEWSRANGERS)-Robbers using towing van to steal parked vehicles has taking over Lagos state. There have been outcry by some motorists in the state who said their vehicles, especially trucks, were stolen overnight where they were parked because of one fault or another.
The vehicles were said to have been stolen from where they were parked on the side of the road by the thieves who were said to be using towing vehicles to take them away while disguising as traffic management officials.
Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed the situation said the police in the state have arrested some car thieves using this method and stealing vehicles that broke down by the roadside.
Hundeyin disclosed this on his Twitter handle while reacting to a report on Sun News Online about robbers who used towing van with LASTMA inscription to steal cars that broke down on the roadside.
