Protesters Of Bandits Attack Set Buhari’s Billboard Ablaze In Katsina

News Rangers6 years ago6 years ago01 mins

LAGOS JUNE 10TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Protesters in Yantumaki town, Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday morning set fire on a billboard bearing the image of President Muhammadu Buhari and logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The residents are protesting against the attacks on their villages by bandits.

The protests come days after the district head of Yantumaki, Abu Atiku, was shot dead by attackers.

The gunmen also attacked some communities in Batsari LGA of the state and killed the council’s APC chairman.

Some of the protesters barricaded the Katsina/Kankara major highway and blocked the road leading to the town with used tyres, dried trees and debris.

They were said to have been enraged by the kidnap of one Mansir Yusuf and his daughter by bandits around 1 am on Tuesday.

Katsina police spokesman, Isah Gambo, is yet to react to the incident.
